The technical specifications

If you want to provide top-rate service for your partners, you must stand out against the competition by ensuring accurate production throughputs. F-B-S Balke International GmbH & Co. KG is a member of DuPont´s worldwide network of Licensed Industrial Applicators (LIA). This is an indication for our customers that the highest quality requirements of our coating products and our service is guaranteed. Therefore we keep all current coating materials on stock. However, if a material should be out of stock for a short time, a DuPont express delivery service guarantees that stocks will be replenished at once. As a LIA we utilize advanced technology to ensure that all technological requirements are guaranteed for an optimum coating job and thus for a long service time of the coating.

Product features

We only use the best quality materials for our non-stick coatings: PTFE, FEP, PFA and silicones.

PTFE coatings, unlike PFA and FEP, have a porous, hard surface with good to very good non-stick characteristics, good chemical resistance, extremely low coefficient of friction and very good abrasion esistance and therefore suitable for applications with mechanical loads.

FEP coatings have a non- porous, smooth surface that stand out because of their exceptional non-stick properties, low coefficient of friction, very good abrasion resistance and very good chemical and corrosion resistance.

PFA coatings are characterised by an impermeable, smooth, slightly “greasy-acting” surface which ensures excellent non-stick qualities, a low coefficient of friction, good abrasion resistance and excellent chemical and corrosion resistance.

ETFE coatings are co-polymers. They are the toughest of the fluoropolymers with excellent chemical and corrosion resistance and can be used constantly at a temperature of 150°C. Layers with a thickness of 1000µm are possible.

The values shown in this table represent average experiences from numerous testing sources and are not intended to be specifications. These values will vary depending upon the individual compositions of the primers and topcoats and the systems used. For further information on the properties of these coating systems, and examples of how they have led to the development of new products, increased production rates and resultant cost savings, you should consult DuPont or a Licensed Industrial Applicator.
